What Is Online List Maker?

Online List Maker is a free web tool for creating lists and sharing them with other people. You create a list, get a unique URL, and anyone you share that URL with can add items, check things off, reorder, and edit — all in real-time, from any device with a browser.

There are no accounts to create, no apps to install, and no limits on how many lists you can make. It works on phones, tablets, and computers.

Why We Built It

Most list apps require everyone involved to install the same app and create accounts before they can collaborate. For something as simple as a grocery list or a potluck sign-up, that's too much friction. We wanted a list tool that works the way sharing a Google Doc works: send a link, everyone can edit, done.

The app is deliberately minimal. There's no project management, no tags, no folders, no integrations. It does one thing — shared lists — and does it well. If you need a list, you can have one in about two seconds.

How It Works

Each list runs on its own real-time connection. When someone adds an item, checks something off, or reorders the list, every other person viewing that list sees the change instantly. There's no refresh button and no sync delay.

Lists are stored on Cloudflare's global network, which means they load fast from anywhere in the world. Your list data is identified by the random URL — there's no account or personal information attached to it.
